The Saint Germain Upholstered Sleigh Bed is inspired by the classic sleigh bed design,which has historical roots dating back to the French Empire period of the early 19thcentury. The sleigh bed's distinctive curved headboard and footboard evoke the lines of a traditional sleigh, a style that became popular in France under Napoleon's reign and subsequently spread to other parts of Europe and North America. The addition ofupholstery to this design brings a modern twist, enhancing the bed's comfort andadding a contemporary touch to a historically rich style. Shown and stocked in a cream colored performance linen, this bed is also available in any Century fabric as TS9-146.
