Recalling a trip to Kenya to attend a wedding safari, Suzanne Kasler named Oria for the founder of the Elephant Watch Camp, a world-renowned destination for luxury accommodations and amazing up-close wildlife. The fabric for a shirt purchased by both Kasler and her daughter inspired Oria, which is hand-knotted of silk and wool in Nepal to recreate the cloth's saturated hues and geometric shapes. "Our trip to Africa was very special and inspiring: the amazing contrast of the landscape, the sky, the neutrals of the earth and the saturated vegetation are all seen my interpretation for Safavieh", Kasler says.
