Furniture Care Notice:

Leather and Suede Care: Leather surfaces on Safavieh Furniture should be dusted regularly with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid using saddle soap or other cleaners. Leather desks and tabletops have a lacquer coating, therefore they can be lightly waxed. Suede surfaces should only be cleaned with a dry, stiff brush. Exposure to liquid spills cannot be washed or cleaned like leather. 100% Safavieh Bicast Leather.

Wood Care: Always use felt pads under all articles to prevent discoloration or softening of the lacquer. Plastic and rubber bases on items can discolor wood. Wipe up spills immediately and avoid common hazards such as hot dishes, harsh solvents and abrasives. Cleaning should be done with a soft lint free cotton cloth dampened with water or furniture polish. On highly used surfaces we recommend applying a quality paste wax which should be used on a regular basis to provide additional protetction from scratches and spills. How often you apply the wax depends on how much wear the furniture receives.

Upholstery Care: To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or light brushing is recommended. Cushions and pillows should be turned on a weekly basis. Down-filled cushions should be brushed rather than vacuumed. Spot clean, using a mild water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Only a professional cleaner should undertake a complete overall cleaning. The use of steam or water-based cleaners may cause excessiv shrinking or staining.
