Safavieh's Ganges River rugs - time-honored hand-weaving techniques and authentic Persian designs are updated in color and pattern for 21st century homes. Each rug is hand-knotted in India by artisans whose ancestors have perfected the craft since Persian rug weaving was introduced to India in the 16th century. Extra-soft New Zealand wool is densely hand-knotted for exquisite detail, and each rug is finished with a luster wash to recreate the aged patina and decorator look of prized antique carpets.

Care Note: Vacuum regularly. Brushless attachment is recommended. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not pull loose ends; clip them with scissors to remove. Remove spills immediately; blot with clean cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. For hard-to-remove stains professional rug cleaning is recommended.

Padding: Rug pads allow your rug to stay in place and give it a longer shelf-life. Select a rug pad that matches the size of your rug, and make sure to browse through the various styles we carry before making a decision
